Israel has won eight medals in the Summer Olympics series, yet never before in the Winter Olympics. Szollos, who is Hungarian born, is currently training in Austria and is preparing for the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing in 2022.

Of the run, Szollos noted that she made a few mistakes, and it wasn’t perfect. When speaking of her medals, she says “I hope I made everyone proud at home…and it’s a big deal. It’s the very first Olympic medal at the winter games, for youth or normal Olympics for Israel, so I think it means a lot.”
