Jerusalem is Making Moves

Robert Kraft has donated $6 million dollars to the development of a multi-sports complex in Jerusalem. The gift comes just in time to honor the 50th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem, and the 20th Maccabiah Games, set to take place in Jerusalem in July 2017.

Kraft is the owner of the NFL’s New England Patriots, and is proud to support Israel in her athletic development process. The Kraft Family Sports Complex will be the first of its kind in Jerusalem and will be a multi-sports complex including an American football field of course. Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat spoke in excitement as he is amidst seeing his vision for Jerusalem further fulfilled. Kraft’s gift to Jerusalem is one that will surely enhance the city both culturally and communally.

Kraft first visited Israel in 1963 and since then, has invested in Israel’s future. Given his passion and experience in athletics, he understands the proven benefits and positive impact that sports can foster in both individuals and communities. With his generous donation, Kraft is helping Israel to further develop leadership and teamwork skills, and promote health and wellness.
