Take a bite of Haifa

in Tourism & Nature

Haifa, Israel’s big city between the Mediterranean and Mount Carmel is an up and coming destination for tourists. A new special sightseeing tour is aimed to show that Haifa has much more to offer than the visit of the famous Bahai Gardens: With the Haifa Street Food tours you can experience the city with your taste buds. “Our goal is not only to showcase the many wonderful and varied street foods of Israel, and the unique lifestyle that Israelis enjoy, but to also encourage tourists to come visit the city of Haifa”, explains manager of the tours Jessica Halfin, who is a passionate baker and cook herself.

With more than ten savory and sweet food and drink stops the tour not only promises eating and drinking like a local (a tasting at some micro-breweries is also included), it also offers a unique behind-the-scenes look at a city in which Jews, Muslims and Christians live peacefully together. But most of all its finally a sightseeing tour without the usual stomach growl.
